I wish the book contained more diagrams or step-by-steph instructions. It is a good book, filled with a lot of information, but reads like a Marvel History textbook rather than a specific "here is how to draw this character." There is about fifteen pages of actual multi-level drawings that you can follow, of mostly b-list comic heroes.
It has a lot of illustrations about pat comic books faceplates, history, but very few diagrams about how to draw super heroes. I bought this book thinking they will teach you how to draw spider man, iron man, venom. Not other less know heroes. I think it is more helpful the version released in 1984. At least for me. This book was not what I expected.
My son was super excited to receive this book and learn to draw his favorite super heros. Alas, the book sucks for learning to draw. There is almost no instruction for anyone that wants to learn to draw. It's very disappointing, we are going to return the item.
Not what I was expecting. I was looking for more figure type stuff. Instead, there's so much text I literally skimmed through it.
This is a fun book. Anyone who likes superheroes and drawing would definitely like this book.
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my nephew, whom draws a lot of comic book figures. He loved it. It's a nice big book with lots of pages and great illustrations.
Came when promised and better than what we expected.
It's a great book, don't get me wrong, lots of images, and pictures ... but not a lot of step-by-step, or instructions. I would not call it a tutorial. Still I am glad I bought it.
